Ryan trained at the Birmingham School of Acting.

Theatre credits include ‘The Station Master’ in Tom Stoppard’s The Cherry Orchard (Birmingham Rep, dir. Rachel Kavanaugh) and ‘McClaren’ in the UK tour of Porridge.
